2015 MLP Merch Battles - WINNERS
The last battle ended several weeks ago and on the last day of 2015 we like to present the winners of this years battle. Below you can find all the winners per category with a small conclusions as well. We hope you liked this idea and perhaps we can host these battles another time next year.

Battle 1 - Brushables

  • 1st place: Nightmare Moon from Midnight in Canterlot Set and Derpy/Muffins from the Collectors Set
  • 2nd place: Ribbon Hair Starlight Glimmer from the Cutie Mark Magic Line
  • 3rd place: Starlight Glimmer Explore Equestria Single
Battle 1 - Brushables
Most of the less common and fan favourite characters got a high notation on the list. For example, the highest Mane 6 character is the Applejack Fashion Style from Rainbow Power on place 14!
We also see that the So Soft ponies fill the complete bottom 10.

Battle 2 - Equestria Girls

  • 1st place: SDCC 2014 Mane-Iac Mayem
  • 2nd place: Sunset Shimmer Sporty Style Deluxe Doll
  • 3rd place: Fluttershy Sporty Style Deluxe Doll
Battle 2 - Equestria Girls
The top list of Equestria Girls figures is dominated by new releases: Friendship Games, special releases and the Rainbow Rocks dolls leave the original releases in the dust. And the bottom list consists of, you may have guess it, the budget dolls. All 6 of them.

Battle 3 - Blind Bags

  • 1st place: Cheese Sandwich, Princess Luna (PFF Collection), Maud Pie, Derpy / Muffins and Pumpkin Pie
  • 2nd place: Soarin
  • 3rd place: Fluttershy (Wave 9) and Rainbow Dash (early prototype)
Battle 3 - Blind Bags
Just like the brushables, the top of the leaderboard is filled with unique molds and fan favourites. The bottom consists of mostly factory errors, prototypes and mane 6 recolours.

Battle 4 - Funko Figures

  • 1st place: Princess Luna
  • 2nd place: Lyra (glitter)
  • 3rd place: Nightmare Moon Mini and Queen Chrysalis Mini
Battle 4 - Funko Figures
Again, mostly fan favourites at the top here. Strangely enough a Lyra in second place, but the difference with Nightmare moon and Queen Chrysalis was small.
Overall top consists of mostly vinyl and Mystery Mini figures. Dr. Whooves, Tin Tastic figures and Pocket Pop's fill the bottom list.

Battle 5 - Hasbro Pop

  • 1st place: Sunset Shimmer
  • 2nd place: DJ Pon-3
  • 3rd place: Princess Luna and Cloud Chaser
Battle 5 - Hasbro Pop
Except from Sunset Shimmer acing this there isn't much to say over the votes. The list is pretty mixed with all characters and release types from top to bottom.

Battle 6 - Plush

  • 1st place: Princess Luna (Build-A-Bear)
  • 2nd place: Princess Luna (4th Dimension Entertainment)
  • 3rd place: Princess Luna (Aurora)
Battle 6 - Plush
Wow! The complete top 3 is Princess Luna, impressive! Most of the plush in the top of the list come from Build-a-Bear, 4th Dimension or Aurora too. Bottom is filled by mane 6 plush from lesser known brands (Hunter leisure, Furyu, etc.).

Battle 7 - Comics

  • 1st place: FiM #10 - Cover A
  • 2nd place: FiM #20 - Hot Topic Variant and Fiendship is Magic #5 - Cover A
  • 3rd place: FF #4 - Jetpack Variant and FiM #17 - Cover B
Battle 7 - Comics
Not a lot of popular comics, but some of the artist got quite a few mentions in the top list: Amy Mebberson, Andy Price, Tony Fleecs and Agnes Garbowska. Bottom list is filled with blank covers (go figure) and lesser known comic artists.

Battle 8 - Other Figures

  • 1st place: Rarity Chibi figure
  • 2nd place: DJ Pon-3 McDonalds figure
  • 3rd place: Pinkie Pie Bank
Battle 8 - Other Figures
MightyFine rules this list, together with a few select cute/cool figures like the banks, bath figures and ornaments. At the bottom we see most of the smaller figures: Busy Book, Chupa Chups, Danli and Confitrade.

Battle 9 - CCG

  • 1st place: Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic
  • 2nd place: DJ Pon-3, Breakdown
  • 3rd place: Rubber Chicken and Swan Song (Canterlot Nights)
Battle 9 - CCG
No real winners here, but just some cards that scored slightly higher than the others. A lot of rare cards in the top list, most of them friends. The bottom is filled with cards with a single vote, so not much to say about those.

Battle 10 - Trading Cards

  • 1st place: Huzzah! (Series 3) and Make a Wish (Series 3)
  • 2nd place: I Hate Being a Model (Series 1) and Sweetie Belle (Series 1)
  • 3rd place: Sonic Rainbow (Series 3)
Battle 10 - Trading Cards
Never expected to see a puzzle piece ending in first place! Overall top list is, once again, fan favourite characters. Most of the other puzzle pieces, episode cards and standees fill the bottom list.

Battle 11 - Playskool

  • 1st place: Minty
  • 2nd place: Bumblesweet
  • 3rd place: Moondancer
Battle 11 - Playskool
While we expected Applejack to score high, it's actually the older generation ponies that scored high in this battle. The first Mane 6 pony is Rainbow Dash on place 6. Last places in this list are reserved for the special releases like glowing Rainbow Dash and walking Pinkie Pie.

So, what do you think of the winners and losers of this year? Expected something else or did your top choice got in first place? We'd like to hear about it in the comments below the post!

  1. There wasn't a Ribbon Hair Starlight Glimmer from the Cutie Mark Magic Line, only Explore Equestria. Where'd they get the ribbon Strlight from?

    1. If the Funrise Princess Luna was in the running under the Plush category I'm sure it would've tied one with of those as well.

I'd still like to know what the 4DE Luna looks like from the other side (considering the mane), I do have the taller/medium-large Aurora special season 1 edition Luna (who I refer to as Woona) so I'm happy. And the voting selections were random so anyway.

Happy New Year/2016 and here's to another wonderful year to you Ilona!

    2. What I don't like is that it was never released. The rest of the ribbon hair ponies never hit the stores at least here in America. Seems weird that a toy that isn't available wins a top spot. I wish the rest would get released because I would love to get my hands on a Fluttershy one.

    3. I live in America and the ribbon hair ponies were in stores although I never saw the Starlight Glimmer one in stores yet

  2. Why does the winners for the CCG say Sunset, but the picture shows Swan Song?

Wow, more than one Starlight won! I figured Mane-iac's EqG would win...And aww, everyone's right. Fluttershy, Derpy, and the cake babies are my favorite B lind Bags :) I also agree with all of the Funko figures- especially Lyra! Yay, DJ and that Luna are the ONLY FHasbro Pops I like, so yay! A BUILD A BEAR WON? YES!!!! Wow...All the plush favorites are Luna :P I agree with all the other figures, the DJ Pon-3 card, And the Minty Playskool :)

    1. Yes on the plush! I would've liked to have seen Funrise mentioned (maybe 4th place?) and still say the Funrise Princess Luna would've been tied for first had it been in the running. (I have the Aurora plush 'woona' however so I'm happy) ~Aponymous

P.S: For some reason my comments post then disappear/get deleted. Why does this keep happening to me?

  4. Yes (also for some reason my previous comment seems to have gotten deleted so I'll have to comment this again) on the plush!

  5. I believe you meant 3rd place: Starlight Glimmer Explore Equestria Single for Battle 1 - Brushables.

I also believe you meant 3rd place: Fluttershy Sporty Style Deluxe Doll for Battle 2 - Equestria Girls
