MLP Merch Poll #166MLP Merch Poll #165 Results
Last week we asked you whether you collect any of the older generation ponies at all. First of all, we're happy to see that there are still a lot of older generation fans out there! While the percentages are not fully accurate due to the multi select, the numbers show that the gap between G4-only and G1 collectors is not that big. That brings is directly to the most popular older generation, which is G1, that is only barely more popular than G1. The other two generations still have a large group of collectors, but G2 is slightly more popular than G3.5.

This week we'd like to know whether you regularly visit thrift shops in your search for My Little Pony figures and merch? We personally do this a lot and are always excited about what we find in those stores! If you ever got a sweet find, feel free to tell us about it in the comments!
You can find the current poll below or in the side bar on the right of the website, or towards the bottom of the page if you're using a smartphone.

  1. Thrifting is my #1 way to get new pony stuff that isn't out in stores currently! I get any MLP thing I find that I don't have when I thrift, unless it's merch that's just too damaged. Actual ponies that I don't already have come home with me regardless of condition (I love cleaning ponies so I don't mind thrifting dirty ones!).

  2. Nope. I honestly like the idea of thrift stores as a way to reduce waste and the need to produce quite so many new items. However, I haven't been to one in many years. I admit I'm a bit spoiled and used to getting everything brand-new. Part of that is that growing up, my mom never wanted me to get anything that had belonged to someone else. I still am limited to things in like-new, or at least very-good condition. But I'm glad that old things do get cleaned up, repaired, saved, and given new life.

  3. I hope online auctioning services count, because they're so much more convenient for buying used plastic toys. Most thrift shops in my area, if they even sell toys, have used plushies.
