KFC Indonesia Reveals G5 Kids Meal Toys

Ever since the teaser in December we've been following the social media of KFC Indonesia to wait for more information about their line-up of My Little Pony G5 toys. Today they shortly revealed the full set, but removed it quickly after. Luckily there have been some shares of the images, so we can still take a look at it!

My Little Pony x Potato Head McDonalds Happy Meal Figures
Almost every year McDonalds releases a My Little Pony-themed set in their Happy Meals. 2022 is no exception, however, this year we got something different:

Instead of this years figures being just My Little Pony, this year it's a crossover with the Potato Head line. You can get Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie or Rainbow Dash as a Potato Head toy and you'll be able to swap their body parts such as their hair and bodies. Alongide My Little Pony, Transformer toys are also available.

So far these have been spotted at McDonalds UAE (United Arab Emirates) with Pinkie Pie being available last week and this week it's Rainbow Dash. It's unsure if other Middle Eastern Countries carry this promotion as well and if other countries in the rest of the world will also get these. If you spot them please let us know!

Thanks a lot to Nyaton for the heads up!

McDonald's Re-Releases 1998 Happy Meal G2 Pony
Whereas Basic Fun skipped the second generation of My Little Pony in their retro line of ponies (so far), we got surprise news from McDonald's this week that they are filling in that gap! As part of their 40 years anniversary of the Happy Meal they are re-releasing 17 classic toys from Happy Meals throughout the ages. One of which is the G2 Light Heart pony that was originally released in 1998.

Regarding the colors and details this pony is exactly like its 21-year-old original, including the brushable tail. The only difference is the hollow legs which have been added on this re-release.

If you'd like to add this pony to your collection you should be quick: these toys are subject to availability and are only included in Happy Meals between today (Nov 7th) and next Monday (Nov 11th). McDonald's location in at least the US and The Netherlands will offer this line of toys, it's unsure which other countries include this promotion as well.
Update: The happy meal figures are packaged as blind bags, and according to multiple confirmations #12 is the Light Heart pony. (Thanks mylittleponyukcollector)

Thanks to Alex for the heads-up!

My Little Pony Happy Meal in More Countries + New Figures
We're back from our holiday and are back to share the latest MLP news with all of you! On our way back we were able to pick up Rainbow Dash from the My Little Pony Happy Meal 2019 line, and no, we didn't go through Switzerland. Here in The Netherlands McDonald's launched the same line of Happy Meal figures, which includes unique versions of Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle.
But there is more news, as the line is also available in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. However, in those countries the set does not only contain the ponies mentioned above, but features new figures of Starlight Glimmer and Spike as well! Pictures of both are shown below.
More countries could potentially receive this set in the future, as we've seen delays of months between countries in the past, but we don't have any definitive information on that.

If you can't wait for them to become available in your country: the first listings for these figures are now available on eBay.

Thanks to Sil for the heads-up!

My Little Pony and Transformer Figures Now at Burger King
After a very long pause Burger King once again features My Little Pony and Transformer toys in their King Jr meals! Four brand new figures of both brands are available, but of course we'll focus on the My Little Pony figures here.
Featured are Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity, who all have a different mold or feature: Pinkie Pie laughs, Rainbow Dash can roll forward, Twilight Sparkle has articulated wings and tail and Rarity comes with a removable cape.
The figures all come with molded manes and tails, but are not molded completely solid. As seen on the photos the legs are hollow.

From reports that we saw all 4 figures are available at the moment within the US and Canada, but it differs from store to store which are included with the meals at that time. We've also heard of restaurants that did not offer any MLP figures yet, even after the official launch date. Information on releases in other countries are not yet known.

Thanks to Archooves, Victor, Jessie and Alex for the info!
