Store Finds: Good 2 Grow, My Baby Twilight, 3 Gift Magazine & More!
It's time for another store finds post! We have quite a varied post today with new Good 2 Grow bottle toppers, the release of Rainbow Retro Mane 6, re-colored accessories and much more.
If you happen to find brand new stuff in your local store, then feel free to write us a small message with photos.

UK - New Magazine With 3 Gifts

Fans of the My Little Pony Magazine in the UK will get three times the gifts these months! The magazine is almost completely hidden behind the freebies on the front, which include a scented Starlight Glimmer eraser, microphone-shaped pen and a huge metallic sticker of Rainbow Dash.

The Philippines - Playskool Baby My Little Pony Plush

The continuation of the My Little Pony Playskool line is a bit vague. Recently a set of 8-inch plush was listed on an Indonesian website and we now received these photos of 12" plush from both a retail store and online shop from The Philippines. Both plush are sold under the Playskool Baby brand, but this is all based on information from the retailers. Neither of them show images of the Playskool tags or product numbers, so we hope Hasbro will share official information on these soon.

US - Good 2 Grow My Little Pony Podz

Earlier this year the company behind Good 2 Grow announced a new line of collectible bottle toppers. Compared to the earlier types, these feature full body designs and come in a transparent container, hence the name Podz. At least Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy have been seen, and in the future we'll see metallic versions too. The Rarity version was found only recently at QuikTrip.

Online - Rainbow Retro Mane 6

The Rainbow Retro Mane 6 set, which features the current mane 6 in old-style molds, is confirmed to be available online at Amazon. Whether you want to keep this set in the packaging or place them individually, they sure a unique variant of the mane 6!

US - Two Versions of Twilight Sparkle Loves to Study

Over at Dollar General you might be surprised to see two version of the FiM Collection Twilight Sparkle set 'Loves to Study'. While we've seen re-colored accessories before, it's not common to see them both out, especially at the same store. Aside from the accessories however, Twilight Sparkle herself also differs: the version with a green book and pink cup lacks a lock of pink hair!

US - Better Look at My Baby Twilight & Rainbow Road Trip Minis

As an addition to the store finds post we commonly share additional photos of figures that were recently found. This time Samantha was kind enough to share all angles of the My Baby Twilight Sparkle figure (Walmart, $19.88) and the Rainbow Road Trip Mini Figures (imported).
One thing to note with the My Baby figures is that the bib is stored in the packaging, so don't forget to get it out before throwing the packaging away!
The Mini Figures are especially cute with their unique shapes and expressions. Personally I'm hoping for similar figures with show-accurate colors!

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone for confirming that the Rainbow Road Trip figures shown on the bottom of this post are in fact from the US and can be found at Dollar Tree!

    1. I was just about to say that. I bought all of them at Dollar Tree, however, they also were the last ones on the shelf and they had just stocked them. So i'm not sure how available they'll be.

    2. I work at the local Dollar Tree and have sadly yet to see these.

  2. Is it possible that the mystery Pinkie Pie plush at Toy Fair (seen in this video: https://youtu.be/YK4rWK7tP4o at around 1:10) is the 8-inch Playskool plush? It seems kinda Playskool-esque. Not sure if it is, it's just a theory.
Also, is there any news about the Friends of Equestria set (the one with Minty)? It doesn't seem to be out yet, but if there's any info about release date, store availability, retail price, etc. I'd love to hear it. I'm estimating it will be $55-ish (USD) and will probably be out by Christmas, but I have nothing to go off of except the number of figures and the lack of any other "big" brushable sets this year.

    1. It's been spotted at Costco in the U.S. for about $25, however the official MLP website has it posted for about $40. https://mylittlepony.hasbro.com/en-us/product/my-little-pony-toy-friends-of-equestria-11-figure-collection:7626424D-99F0-40E6-8680-726B8A2B7BD0

    2. That's good to hear. I was hoping it would be fairly cheap (for the size of the set). Unfortunately, nobody I know has a Costco membership, and the closest one is still pretty far, so I guess I'll have to wait for it to turn up in Target or Walmart (if I'm lucky!) to get a hold of it.

    3. I hate to double-comment, but I took another look at the Pinkie Pie plush in the video. Although it has pastel colors and a chibi-ish style, it doesn't have balloon-shaped highlights in its eyes, so it couldn't be by Playskool. It also seems a bit bigger than 8 inches. I admit, I was a bit hasty to make a connection between them.
I've been thinking about it a lot since I first saw it, and I guess I am a bit desperate to find out what it is. I'd hate for it to remain a mystery, because it looks pretty nice. I'm a bit afraid of the worst-case scenario that it never sees a release and we never know who would have made it.
I'll look through the database again to see if I can find anything similar. If I don't find anything, I suppose I'll have to wait for news to come out. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    4. Considering it's by the Shoes and Makeup/Facial Products, i'm assuming it's probably a promotional plush used by those companies in displays for stores. The lighter Pastel Colors make me think that's probably the case. I'll keep my eyes out for it, though. Good luck!
