Amazon UK Listst Rainbow Celebration Pack including Minty and Mane Six Ponies

It has been a bit quiet lately, which seems a bit... odd given it's also the 40th birthday of the My Little Pony line this year, and aside from the Style of the Day brushables we haven't heard much from Hasbro lately, however we (finally) have some news for you!
Update: Now available on Amazon US!

Amazon UK has listed this brand new Rainbow Celebration pack! The tagline of this pack is "Celebrate Ponies from different generations!", with the generations being G4 and G5 and perhaps with Minty as G3, but seeing as she also was a prominent pony in G4 from time to time... Ah well, all ponies included are quite diverse, I especially like Rainbow Dash, they captured her personality perfect! It's also nice to see Pinkie Pie and Minty rocking some curly hair, its nice to see more different hair textures be included as well. Judging by the looks and price, these seem to be fashion style size (6" tall) ponies, but there is no discription that can confirm that yet.

And that price in the UK is currently £68.99, which is about $85 USD. Do note that this is currently only available for pre-order, and the expected release date is set on July 1st. So far the set has only appeared on Amazon UK, of which you can find the listing here.

Below we have some more images from the set, showing the front and back (look at Minty's hair!)

  2. Urgh. What is with that weird face on TS? They seriously wasted brushables on more Bore Five, Mane Suxx and two of the most common G3 ponies instead of making new ponies? Unimpressed! Way to drop the ball Hasblo.

    1. I mean it's a pack meant to pay tribute to past generations so of course they would use well known popular ponies. I'm more disappointed they didn't go further back to G2 or G1. Could have added Applejack and Sky Skimmer.

    2. That's what the repro lines are for. They need to let those 6 go. No other generation needed to do this.

    3. To be fair it is supposed to be a retro pack, but I do agree with you overall. This generation has been fairly non imaginative and lack luster with it’s toy line. Retro packs were fun initially, but now it seems like a half hearted move to try to get g4 fans interested again, rehashing basically.
Hasbro like Disney has forgotten that what keeps an audience/customer engaged, is new product, new content.
It would be nice to see new ponies in the toy line, that’s what made previous generations so wonderful. Not the same old same old over and over.

  4. Minty literally was never prominent in G4, what are you talking about

    1. Minty with a peppermint symbol is a common G3. So what are you talking about?

    2. The price is pretty cheap for 6 fashion style brushables tho, usually you pay 20USD for the single ones.

  10. Fashion Styles usually have a nylon mane and polypropylene tail; as far as I know, Hasbro has yet to produce a G5 pony in Fashion Style size or larger with all polypropylene and a few, such as Singing Star Pipp, have all nylon. On top of that, Hasbro rarely bothers to style polypropylene, so I think it's safe to assume that the manes, at least, will be nylon. Rainbow Dash's bangs do appear to have product in them, though, so that's a negative in my book.

  11. A proper G5 Minty, and she's all fluffy? Articulated Fashion Styles? And Rainbow Dash's adorable expression? Take my money yesterday! I just wanna bury my face in Minty's hair!

  12. kinda insane that it took them a whole gen to actully do accurate hair for the dolls like the g4 style ponies with this kind of hair would have been amazing

    1. i think they did something similar in G4 when the MLP movie came out. they did the mane 6 fashion styles with show accurate manes, i have all but fluttershy since i bought them second hand.

    2. i honestly forgot about those wish they did thedm with the normal g4 mold and in brushable style just like i wish for these ones

    3. as i looked through the database, the only mane 6 ones that had show accurate manes were rainbow dash (as a shadowbolt) which was a toys r us exclusive, and twilight sparkle (in the reboot mold) which came with G1 twilight as a SDCC exclusive. i realized that there were alot of non mane 6 ponys that had show accurate manes like zecora, photo finish, songbird serenade, and temptist shadow just to name a few. im very suprised myself that they didnt do the accurate manes for the mane 6 in the regular (or reboot style) brushables. i think the closesd thing to what your looking for would have to be the molded mane ones which were released during rainbow roadtrip several times as singles and multipacks(i have twilight sparkle and rainbow dash). i hope this helps :D

    4. oops forgot the power ponies as well since they also have show accurate manes (for regular brushables)

  15. G5: Sunny and Izzy
    G4: Twilight and Rainbow
G3: Pinkie and Minty (the reason for this is because they are the stars of the most popular movie from that generation)

    Clearly you haven't bought polyprOpaline

  17. I do like this pack, but I must confess that it is unfortunate that it's just a mix of G4 and G5 ponies with a single G3 thrown in there that also appeared in G4. (Technically, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie also appeared in previous generations but their designs were changed. These are clearly based on the G4 versions of the characters).

Personally, I would've preferred that they had one prominent pony from each generation in this pack, for example:

G1. Firefly, or Sundance. G1 didn't really have a strict main cast necessarily but they did have some notable ponies. Firefly was a prominent character in the Rescue at Midnight Castle pilot, the first ever animated media of My Little Pony, whereas Sundance appeared a few times in the toyline (as did Firefly, to a certain degree).

G2. Perhaps Ivy. G2 never got a show and G2 didn't really have a single pony that was more significant than the rest of the main ponies (My Little Pony Tales is not generally considered G2, that's a misconception), but Ivy is at the very least popular amongst adult fans, I cannot speak for children.

G3. Whilst Minty does have the disadvantage of also being a G4 pony that looks identical, I'd say that she works fine. She featured in a Very Minty Christmas and occured a lot in the toyline.

G4. Twilight Sparkle. Simply, she is the main main character.

G5. Sunny Starscout, for the same reason as Twilight Sparkle.

Perhaps, if there must be six ponies, another G5 could be thrown in as it is the current generation.

  18. I think its cute, but we dont really wanna see more Izzy's and Sunny's, more Twilight's, Pinkie's and Dashies, what we really wanna see is a pack with Zipp, Hitch, Misty, and finally Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy, I know that all of we collectors are waiting for Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy, but if there's something that i loved abt this pack, is Minty, I think Minty is so adorable, and I didnt liked Pinkie Pie, seriously, look at her face, mane, and skin color, it doesnt looks like Pinkie Pie
