MLP Merch Poll #66MLP Merch Poll #65 Results
Last week we asked you what you voted in the WeLoveFine Chibi poll. The obvious winner is Princess Luna, but our votes do not exactly match that of WeLoveFine. The overall ranking matches, but Rainbow Dash got way more votes in our poll, reaching the second place, while it's not in WLF's winner list at all. Octavia got the bottom spot, and 20% of the voters didn't vote in WLF's poll.

For this weeks poll we'd like to know what kind of gimmicks you'd like to see for the brushable line. We've seen various special release ponies in the first generation of My Little Pony, but G4 is lacking behind in 'special' brushable figures. So, what would you like to see?
You can find the current poll below or in the side bar on the right of the website, or towards the bottom of the page if you're using a smartphone.

  1. Molded mane on a brushable? Wouldn't that defeat the whole point of a brushable?

    1. I think "brushable" is a term for the size.

    2. Omg hasbro please no molded manes...

  2. Jewels - Not a brushable but does that 2013 SDCC exclusive My Little Pony DJ Pon-3 Vinyl Scratch Collectible Swarovski with Lights count

Glow in the Dark - As well as the Zecora from the year before

Sleepy Eyes - Well, not a brushable but we did get that cute blindbag figure of Applejack in a bed

Molded Mane - I know Aurora plush has done brushable manes but the special edition Season 1 Luna they made has a molded fabric mane, if that counts? (I do agree it defeats the 'brushable' purpose)

Scented - That is something I've yet to see (there are scented pony soaps that exist though)

I have not voted nor did I mention Flocked or Sound (or have any idea really what flocked is) I do have the Walking, Talking, Singing, Dancing Pinkie Pie which I suppose isn't a brushable but does have that style mane.

just my input on things, keep up the good work with MLPmerch Ossie/Ilona!

    1. Flocked means that they are covered with a sort of velvety texture which makes them feel soft. I don't know if you know the Filly Ponies from Simba but they are flocked as well. And thank you ^^

    2. Aurora's main line always had molded manes, the ones with brushable features are actually a special edition.

  3. Since I've seen some Monster High dolls that have lights with sound, I would like if the pony brushables compete by having them lights with sound too.

  4. I love the g3 scented ponies I actually have one so I think it would be cool to have this is g4. Besides scented ponies won't have any weird physical features like body art or glimmer wings.

  5. I honestly don't like how molded mane is winning. Hasbro is focused on making their toys for the younger audience (Little girls) and i do not think they will make much money with molded mane ponies. The mane is, well, the main part of Pony merchandise, and it's what makes the children like these toys. If they were replaced with molded manes, children would not want the toy since it is completely useless. Useless how? There's no hair to brush, with a sculpted mane, and (Unless a male) the heads will not be able to turn unless the mane is short, like a stallions mane. But let's face it. When is Hasbro going to make another male again? In conclusion, the molded mane ponies will be completely useless to kids, causing their sales prices to drop. I know that some collectors may want to buy them, but I feel like they would rather stick to Funko considering Hasbro isn't 100% show accurate in sculpts. If you want sculpted mane ponies, buy the blind bags and the Gift set from a few years back. Those figures go for $1-$7 on ebay and are unwanted by many kids.

In my opinion, they should make the flocked ponies, or the scented ponies because i will be something Brand New to G4, and i would really love to see how it works out. The "Sleepy Eyes" idea isn't my favorite either, but at least it would be something new.

  7. <.< >.> Am... Am I the only one who realizes that except for the molded manes and I think sound, these are all G1 pony gimmicks they used?? Flocked is So Soft Ponies. GitD is Glow 'n' Show. Scented is Perfume Puff. Jewels is Twinkle Eye. Sleepy eye is Beddy Bye Eye..... these are all re-used ideas!! And they sort of already make ponies with molded manes... the McDonald's happy meal ponies. And I personally HATE molded manes.

    2. Yes the ideas we picked are most of the time inspired from the G1 line. It's also just to see which gimmicks would work really well again as part of G4.

  10. There are plenty of Sound brushables already and they don't sell that well due to having the wrong voices, the last ones were the Glamour Glow Rarity and Cadance.
