It's been a while since we posted anything about the original Equestria Girls Dolls but we have some new info. Some High Quality images of two of the Gala dolls from the Legend of Everfree line have been found. We've found images of the upcoming Rarity and Gloriosa Daisy dolls. Yep that's right, Gloriosa actually has a second name as I found this out by looking at an Entertainment Earth listing of her Geometric doll. This also explains the flower on her cheek as the "Gloriosa Daisy" is actually a real flower. It's the Rudbeckia hirta, commonly called black-eyed-susan but it's often also called the Gloriosa Daisy or Yellow Daisy.
Let's hope images of the other dolls will be found soon as well. The movie will arrive this fall but I expect the dolls will be available earlier.

they should change something in those dolls :S they are too simple and same over and over :\ I can understand they are for kids for play but we are collectors there
ReplyDeleteThese came a long way from when the first ones came out. They have greatly improved in quality. They look fine to me but, that's just our opinions.
Deletethey are too simple compared to other doll on market. they can add them real eyelashes and change face mold or something.
DeleteThey don't focus on the dolls anymore anyways as they sell so bad and they don't need them anymore anyways as they are the official doll manufacturer for Disney these days, that's why they made the Minis in the first place.
Deletethey fail in Disney dolls too. When there are Disneystore versions, who needs HASBRO ones? nobody. Price is almost same,and quality and designs are off. thanks god they kept ponies right.

DeleteThe Hasbro Disney Princesses have been selling well tho according to their last quarterly report. While adult collectors like the more mature DS dolls, little kids actually like the cartoony look of the Hasbro dolls. And since the Hasbro dolls have less articulation they are better for younger children.

ReplyDeleteI just hope the disaster that occurred with the Friendship Game line doesn't occur with this line. I mean, only half of the merch of was released. And the ones that did get released, was released way too early in my opinion. I was disappointed because I really wanted to get the roller skating dolls but unfortunately, they never were released. I'm having my fingers crossed for this line. I am mostly looking forward to the Gala line.
ReplyDeleteI'm not 100% out of hope for the roller girls yet. This could either be like the 2nd wave of Rainbow Rocks Hairstyle dolls which appeared at the same time as the first waves of the Friendship Games. Or it could end up like Holly Dash because I'm pretty sure I have heard of them being spotted overseas but the 2nd wave of RR Hairstyle dolls were also spotted in the UK first so it could be either.
DeleteThe Roller Skating dolls have been released AGES ago (I have them myself), it's only that most stores didn't order them because the other ones already sold so bad.

DeleteThe listings says the camping dolls will get delivered in May so that's probably when the shorts come out.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this Rarity on NY Toys Fair's images I thought I'll buy her, but now... I'm not so sure .
ReplyDeleteI'm still getting these dolls regardless if they have less articulation. I even prefer these over the minis plus, I want to get something that is worth every penny of my money. I even read reviews on Amazon saying that the minis left leg would fall off upon opening them. I even thought about getting the but, I changed my mind soon after. I might... Just might get the minis if the price goes down a little to see if what people said are true. For now I will be saving money to get the Legend of Ever free line and the DVD.
