MLP x Dungeons & Dragons Crossover Collection Now Available for Pre-Order
When we initially heard of the Crossover Collection we heard of the Ghostbusters, Power Rangers and Transformer crossover figures, without too much information. Then suddenly the Dungeons & Dragons Crossover Collection set "Cutie Marks & Dragons" was revealed, and our social media channels exploded!
And we finally have news on this immensely popular set, as pre-orders are now available at Entertainment Earth! Pre-orders are $59.99 per set, which includes 5 unique ponies with outfits, 2 accessories, a D20 and a Dungeon Master's screen. The release date is September 2020, so it's just a short wait until the set is shipped.

Accompanying the listing is a new photo of the inside of the set, which reveals the names (and bio) of all characters: Mysteria, Shadow Star, Valor Stronghoof, Spinner Talltail and Woodheart the Kind.

  1. These figures would be so cool if their eye placement didn't make them look like Ahuizotl... They're sliding halfway down their faces! They should be higher up and more perpendicular to the nose bridge.
If I wasn't so bad at painting, I might try my hand at repositioning them... but druid pony's headdress would complicate that majorly. It wouldn't be much of a problem if their accessories weren't painted on... I could make their accessories separately... remake the clothes to have actual detail rather than printed-on trim, bags, etc.... and while I have the paints out, give their hair a bit more depth... seal them with Duraclear Ultra-Matte so they wouldn't be awkwardly shiny like many custom ponies...
I'm just a beginning customizer, though, and although I'm enamored with the thought of these theoretically-possible alterations, they're way out of my skill level. I'm also a world champion procrastinator, and these figures seem like the kind of thing to be scarce (or at least sought after) a few years down the road. Bad idea all around. It's a shame.
If they don't bug you and you're fine with keeping them as-is, or have the skill level to fix them, then go for it! No sense in not enjoying something just 'cause somebody else can't. Just don't bite off more than you can chew like I'm tempted to :)
