My Little Pony G5 Pipp and Sunny Figures

The newest issue of the Toyworld Magazine includes some nice pictures of some of the upcoming G5 toys. The first being the Sunny Starscout which we already saw during Hasbro's Investor event this year, however, now we finally get a better look at it alongside an upcoming toy of Pipp.

As seen as on the promo image Sunny will be as tall as a G4 Styling Pony with her main feature being her long stylable hair. I really like the color scheme, looks very pretty. The second figure that is being shown is that of Pipp Petals/Princess Petals which we've never seen before. Judging by the image she will be able to sing/speak, at least that's what I'm guessing with that microphone she has, and her fluffy wings also seem to be able to flutter. Includes with her is also a small phone accesory which shows a picture of herself.

Below we've includes some screens of both pages which also shows some nice artwork of the whole group and some other information. We're still waiting for more official information to be released by Hasbro and we'll let you know as soon as possible when this happens. What is your opinion of these figures? Are you going to get them? What do you hope to see as well? And who's your current favorite pony of the new cast? For me, its Zipp, I really like her design and color scheme.

Thanks to Andrew and everyone else for the heads up!

  2. I really do love these CGI ponies. Had my concerns when I first heard they weren’t going to be 2D, but these have so much character and charm to them. Love the larger-sized toy format, but not a fan of jointed ponies. Looks weird. Also, is Pipp Petals a flutter pony I wonder? Her wings look so different.

    2. Pipp is a younger pony (also smaller than the rest of the main cast), so you can assume that they decided to go more realistic and she has yet to grow her adult feathers via moulting.

    1. Pretty sure that's still supposed to be a "secret," since the only times I've seen it is on that Aliexpress listing for the Secret Rings (which seemed to be an unofficial leak, as it features an unannounced second wave that appears to consist of then-unrevealed G5 characters) and as the zipper pull on the Izzy bag they showed when they first unveiled the merchandise (which was small enough that you probably aren't supposed to be able to make it out, like Zipp on the shoes). They're probably still "finalizing" the design, but I feel like there's a pretty good chance that they'll use that one, perhaps with minor tweaks. Time will tell.

    2. Early G4 merch also had the G3 logo until the series started airing so there is that.
