Below we have listed all of the current Fake MLP Plushies. This list will keep getting updated over the time when we find new plushies. The plushies are listed by character, this is because 99% of the time it's unknown which company makes them. The ponies are listed in Alphabetical Order (except the miscellaneous section which you can find at the bottom)

fake or not, my luna (those with the japanese tag) is the best pushie i will ever have, planning on buying the celestia to
ReplyDeleteJust make sure that you never try to sell them either privately or on say Ebay. It is legal to buy a knockoff for personal use, but it is illegal to re-sell them, even at a yard sale and is punishable for up to 10-years in jail as well as additional fines etc...
DeleteSome of these are real, and if you say other wise you can't prove that they are fake. :T
ReplyDeleteAll the plushies you see in this post have been massively reproduced and sold without proper licensing. There are a few reasons why the above mentioned plushies are fake, knock-off or unlicensed:
Delete- They are simple copies of custom plushies made by artist
- They copy styles used by licensed plushies (such as famosa, funrise or build-a-bear)
- They are massively produced in China/Hong Kong and sold for a very low price without tags
- They are only sold on eBay, Taobao and Alibaba without any official release
- We keep our info updated, plushies on here that are actually sold will be removed from the list.
Plushies are not official by default. Only when a company announces an official MLP license they will become official, these don't and are therefor fake.
If you have any reason to believe these plushies are real, feel free to provide information/proof on them and we'll update the topic accordingly :)
Oh ok just the people who had made it (look at the tag XD it's it's in japanese) the products they make are different I'm just not sure they are "bootleg" sorry about being rude earlier I was just a little upset :)
Deletethe creators of the 12 inch logo mlp plushes are making there own patterns, and they keep improving the base model. the reason they dont have a license, is that hasbro is over licensed. this is not a joke. i contacted hasbro itself to ask for a license for these. but they dont do it because they already gave out to many licenses......i didnt want to go on a disscussion with the person from hasbro so i accepted it. but its still strange how can you over license something?
DeleteThe filly Luna one is one I got at Wondercon a month ago. However, it was sold by a booth or whatever called Ogre Shop I think, it was like 40$. It has different fabric than the one in the pic (or unless that is just lighting) and it had no tag on it's ear or anything, so idk if it's the fake ones or what.
ReplyDeleteOk, according to the list, Princess Cadence is fake, yet Queen Chrysalis is not. Yet I got both from the same store here in Perth. Both had the same tag. Explain that to me please..
ReplyDeleteThat's because this article hasn't been updated in a while. :) I will update it later and include the Queen Chrysalis one. She is also fake. (well, more unlicensed)
DeleteSome of these were people making them on deviantart and other art sites some of these have extraordinary detail
ReplyDeleteLuna shining armor big Mac and celestia are pretty well done I especially like luna not my favorite pony (I'm a dude) so Dj pon 3 is. But luna is the best of the bunch

ReplyDeleteI've seen some of those at a my little pony convention plushes similar to the applejack one and there was a zecora but I got the last one for only $20.
ReplyDeleteand zecoran has a smile on her. :D
PS she also had a Japanese tag on her so u might know what I'm talking about.
Yep, take a look at this article for more information on the plushies with Japanese tags: Are the 12 inch MLP plushies fake?
Deletehey i have a galery whith all of only factory bottleg pushies
ReplyDeleteHi. How can you tell they are fake? I have found cheap my little pony plushies on ebay. Some of them have tags, some don't. They come from China. I don't see on your page but they are cheaper than in France. I am afraid that there might be chemicals in them. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteFake or not most of those plushies are very good quality and awesome. Still don't care that they aren't official.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad how these are better than the officially licensenced Hasbro plushes with that HORRIBLE HAIR
