Starting today the Princess Luna bishoujo statue by Kotobukiya can be pre-ordered. She's the first of the two princess to be available, whereas Princess Celestia will follow later. Pre-orders are open in Japan right now, and US-based retailers will follow in the next hours. The release is planned for September 2021.

The past days have been a bit busy with all the G5 news, but G4 is still going on as well! In January Kotobukiya had posted the finished sculptures for the upcoming Princess Celestia and Luna Statues, and now they have revealed the painted version of Luna + the Pony Sculpt of Princess Celestia.

Over on their Instagram page Mighty Jaxx opened a quick poll to see which pony they should release as their next figure: Princess Luna or Nightmare Moon. The figure with the most votes will presumably be the next XXRay Plus figure, of which Princess Celestia was announced before.

Back in August we learned that the line of My Little Pony Bishoujo statues would not end with the mane 6 and Sunset Shimmer, but that Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were going to be added. Now, just before the end of the year, Kotobukiya reveals the final (unpainted) sculpt design for both of the human versions. They also show the final human + pony version of Princess Luna separately, and we expect them to share the pony design of Princess Celestia soon.

 

We have lots of Kotobukiya news this morning! During their Kotobukiya Summer Expo livestream they revealed the next two statues for the My Little Pony Bishoujo statues line: Princess Luna and Princess Celestia, and the artwork for these already looks incredible! Can't wait to see what the statues themselves will look like. 

Together with the release of the brand new blind bags set Target also added the first series of Generation 4.5 ponies and figures on the shelves, or at least, most of it. What has been spotted so far are the Potion Ponies ($4.99), Magical Mane Rarity ($21.49), Fashion Squad Singles ($4.99) and Potion Princesses ($14.99). The few sets that were already announced and not found could be available at other Target stores, or perhaps release at a later moment.
