MLP Equestria Girls Basic Doll Pinkie Pie Rainbow Dash Fluttershy
Something interesting popped up in the freshly launched Hasbro 2014 Product Catalogue: These Equestria Girls 'Basic' dolls feature Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy with molded manes, a small lock of brushable hair and plastic clothes. These figures look like an attempt from Hasbro to create cheaper, more accessible Equestria Girls dolls by replacing most of the brushable hair and fabric with plastic parts and including no accessories at all. One of the weird aspects of these dolls are that Hasbro once again drops back to the Equestria Girls line instead of the current Rainbow Rocks line.
As these are only Hasbro catalogue listings we have no information on the final price or release date yet. In addition to that, these figures have been found in the Brazilian Catalogue, it is possible that this will be a local release. We'll post new information as soon as we know!

  2. Cool! Much easier to do if you want to make a custom Equestria Girls doll! Although I want one, One hope these molded ones don't replace the haired ones. I quite like both!

  10. STAHP COMPLAINING! These R probably gonna be like the cheap ponies that are sold for $3.00. I mean seriously, no cutie mark shape in their eye, no glitter mascara or eyeshadow, and no accecories. pretty obvious that they're gonna be like the cheap ones.

  11. I actually JUST bought one of these dolls for my 4 year old. We bought rainbow dash. Our local Dollar General just got them in stock about 3 days ago. They cost $7. We were both disappointed about the hair as it is only blue :/ But she loves it. The skirt pops off and there is a small hole in the back and on the bottom of her feet which make me think you can attach stuff such as wings, etc. maybe from other MLP dolls. It is pretty cheap but still cute :) she loves her and plays with her and it was a far better buy than the $7 worth of candy and soda that she "HAD to have or she would just die" lol!

  12. I say they look pretty anirextic at the waist though :/ I mean sure it's a nice doll but does the wait need to look that skinny? Just saying.

  15. I saw these at the store recently and bought one (Rainbow Dash). I WAS disappointed the hair wasn't colored right, but I think the dolls are adorable. Having most of the hair plastic with only a tail to brush makes it harder for the hair to get ruined when these dolls are in little hands. I bought it for my 4yr old niece and she loved it. After she opened it, I played around with it and noticed the holes too and I also think it's to attach accessories but we'll see. I'd buy them for myself, but although I like Rainbow I'm more fond of Applejack. I'd love them to have the Mane Six complete in this molded version.
