IDW MLP Comic May Solicitations

We figured out the comic post aren't as popular in comparison to the Brushables, Blind Bags etc so we've decided to combine all the Solicitations in one big post from now on instead of separate post for each comic. However we'll make separate post when a certain issue has been released so this only counts for the Solicitations.

Friendship is Magic #42

This month we have a total of three comics for you. The first one is the 42th issue of the main "Friendship is Magic" series. This issue will be about Pinkie Pie's version of a comic book... oh boy that's going to be something special! This issue will be written by Katie Cook and drawn by Andy Price. There will be a regular cover by Andy Price and a Subscription cover by Sara Richard. More covers will be revealed later, a variant cover by Caytlin Vibrandy has been announced.

Pinkie Pie decides to make her very own comic book! Pinkie’s version of a comic book might just be a little bit different than what you’re expecting!

Friends Forever #28

A new Friends Forever has been announced as well and this time it will be about Princess Luna and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. As the cover judges (made by Tony Fleecs) the CMC has already earned their cutie marks by this point. (did this happen in the past 2 issues btw?) Princess Luna has to watch over the CMC in this one as their original guard is summoned away. This issue is written by Jeremy Whitley and drawn by Tony Fleecs. A subscription cover will be revealed later made by Sara Richard.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders visit Canterlot. When their appointed guardian is summoned away, it’s up to Princess Luna to watch over the precocious fillies. Luna can’t be that bad with kids, right?

Adventures in Friendship - Volume 5

A fifth issue of the Adventures in Friendship has also been officially announced. This volume contains several stories and this one seems to include stories with Shining Armor, Princess Cadance and Twilight Sparkle. The description states that it will include two stories featuring Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle and one with Prince Blueblood and Shining Armor (Friends Forever #26)  The cover is made by Sara Richard. You can already pre-order this one on Amazon for $11.14 (with $12.99 be the regular price)

This volume of Adventures in Friendship collects two stories featuring Twilight Sparke and Shining Armor. Then Shining Armor has an adventure with Prince Blueblood!
