MLP Merch Database Update - Databases Split and More

Since MH Merch and EAH Merch are finally released, we're now focusing again on improving MLP Merch which will our main database. Today we would like to give you an update about what's new and what to expect in the future:

Search for Character

First of all we want to improve that the databases will contain more info and that identifying a pony will be more easier. Especially when we release the databases for the older generation. To make a start with this we "updated" a search function which we had in the first months as well: Search by Character. For those who visit our MH and EAH Sites, you know how this works. I just liked it so much that I wanted to make it for MLP Merch as well. When you click on the link you will go to a page where you can see almost all the characters, if you click on a character you can see what kind of merch is available for that pony. Turns out there are quite some characters out there!

The next function I personally would like to add is the "search by color" function. This one is already in the works as well but we have no expected release date yet.

Splitting of the Blind Bag Database

The next update is one we already heard sometimes. With the release of the popular Friendship is Magic Collection line last year the Blind Bag Database has kinda grown to the point that the FiM Collection got a bit too large for just one page. Because of this the Blind Bag Database is for now split into two sections. You can go to the Blind Bags and various other sets, or to the Friendship is Magic Collection page where you can now also select which subset you want to see.

Splitting of the Equestria Girls Database

Even though the minis are less then one year old they are very popular as well with new releases appearing quite often. Just like the FiM Collection, for us the Equestria Girls Minis collection is growing that fast that we feel like splitting them up is the best, this is also because I feel like the normal dolls and the minis are more like separate lines right now. You when you go to the Equestria Girls Database you can now select if you want to see the normal dolls or the minis which have their own subsets as well. We hope that these updates make it easier for you to navigate the database.

More info for the Brushables and Equestria Girls

Another update we've made is that the homepage for the Brushables and Equestria Girls Dolls has been changed as well as you can see here. Each line now has their release year below so that it's easier to get info. We also separated the main-, store-, and other lines to make it all easier for you. The same happened to the normal Equestria Girls Dolls as well as I mentioned above.

What's next?

Like we mentioned we love to update MLP Merch to make it all better for you. Within a few weeks we will release a huge survey again and we would love to hear your feedback. You will all be notified when it's released. Below you can find some more points we're going to work on for the upcoming months/year.
