Quite an interesting listing has appeared on Entertainment Earth: These awesome single Fashion Style Princesses! The first wave includes Princess Celestia and Princess Luna (who dark blue again!) Their bodies have a nice shimmer to them and part of the body is also covered in real glitter. They only come with one accessory which is a nice multi-colored comb. This is the first wave meaning that Princess Cadance and Twilight Sparkle are most likely in the second wave. Judging by the different packaging is safe to say that they are from the same series as the Mane-six singles from earlier.

All of these classic style brushables of the main characters of the show that are being released neither under a themed toyline, make me thinking about the ninth and final season being far less merchandize driven than the previous ones and most importantly that Hasbro is getting ready to announce offically the thing soon enough (which is why there is a big silence around MLP lately).
ReplyDeleteHaven't noticed any big silence, it's just very slow regarding brushables atm but FIM will even expand into an own manga line starting next summer.

There aren't any news about the show neither, and the fact that the new toylines doesn't seem to be indicative in what is going to happen in the ninth (and final) season makes me thinking that the season won't be as merchandize driven like the previous ones (which makes sense as it'll be the last season). Besides... the manga? Irrilevant. The previous manga of MLP was quite a crap, in the story and artstyles, not mentioning that it implied wrong things about the show (like Twilight not being able to swim, or the Goldenoak Library apparentely being alive, both things that were ABSOLUTELY false), besides it's a japanese thing, it doesn't count here.
