New Plush Announced by Hunter Leisure With G4 and G5 PoniesNew Plush Announced by Hunter Leisure With G4 and G5 Ponies

New ranges of G4 and G5 plush were announced by Hunter Leisure, a plush and toy manufacturer from Australia that we remember from an earlier G4 range. Their plush are mostly manufacturered for claw machines, so don't look surprise if you find G5 plush in arcades later this year!

The announcement, which was part of their 2021-2022 catalogue, shows plush of Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight for the G4 section, and for G5 photos are shown of Izzy, Sunny and Zipp. Pipp and Hitch will also be released as plush, but the photos of both of them are not yet included.

At the moment no size information is given for any of them, but most of their line up consists of multiple sizes for each brand ranging from 7" to 14", so it's expected that we'll see the same for My Little Pony. According to the SKUs the G4 plush are released in two sizes (we guess 7" and 11") and G5 will also have a larger size (which we assume is 14").

From what we can see in the provided images (no clue what size they are) we see that the G4 have flat shaped manes, and the G5 range has filled manes that better show the intended shape.

We don't have any information about the release dates, but that's all up to the arcades, carnivals and their wholesalers on how long it takes before we see these in the wild. If anyone spots them, we're more than happy to include them in a future store finds post.
Thanks to Andrew for the heads-up!

  1. The G4 head shape is really G1-ish. I don't know why they went ahead with that design. I love G1, but the head shape merged with otherwise average-looking G4 plushies is really awkward.

The G5s aren't the worst, but they're certainly interesting... interesting in a bad way. I do like the expressions, but the overall patterns look kind of goofy. And what's up with the coloring on Zipp's wings? Izzy's hair? I'll try to hold my judgement until in-hand photos appear, but I don't think I'll be ordering these from Australia anytime soon!

    1. You've clearly never seen a G1 plush to be saying that.

    2. I didn't mean that they looked like any specific G1 plush, but that it looked like the G1 art style. If you put that exact head shape on a more G1-ish body, with G1 eyes, hair, etc., it'd look about right.

    1. G3 was the only one where I personally thought the stuffed toys looked really nice.

  4. Well, those are certainly something. I'll pass because claw machines are usually rigged anyway. Haha.
