Friends of Maretime Bay Set Images Found Online

Recently a lot of new sets and figure have been listed online for the fall 2022 release wave of My Little Pony, including the first Make Your Mark and Mini World Magic sets. One of the sets didn't get any images yet, but it only took a couple of days for them to finally surface!

The product page on Amazon UK now correctly shows the name, description and product images of the Friends of Maretime Bay set in a plastic free package. The set features Hitch, Izzy, Sunny, Zipp along with Sparky Sparkeroni and Cloudpuff and a cardboard playset with 40+ accessories. All ponies have the new  'Hoof to Heart' that allows them to hold accessories in one of their hooves and to switch around cutie marks.

Over on Amazon US the images can also be found, but the title and description are a placeholder for a Mini World Magic set. You can place a pre-order there for $27.99, but it's uncertain what set you will receive.

  1. I wish we got a bit more in terms of diversity for this years line up. It seems like Hasbro learned absolutely nothing from the Mane 6 plague of 2017-2021 and the existence of the Core 7. I understand the *why,* obviously kids are going to want what they see on TV and the brand has changed with the times to become a media franchise instead of a toy line with accompanying tie ins. But it still hurts as a collector to see the same recycled characters dominating toy shelves when there is so much potential that hasn't been tapped into yet. We've got a whole new generation! Wow us with some new characters!!! Especially since it seems G5 is bringing back G1 characters, I'm sure plenty of kids would love new ponies and collectors would feel enticed to buy them if they're attached to said pony. to see new brushables/main series figures for them! It would be one thing if MLP was always a media franchise with centralized characters at the helm, then it would make sense as to why they only focus on a small cast but the entire point of G1-G4 pre 2014 was to collect em' all. There were repeats of popular characters/main characters every now and then, sure, but you could walk into a store every so often and always see a new pony that wasn't released beforehand. This really hurts man :/

    1. I agree, it's a shame that so far, we're not seeing much variety. Hopefully we'll see more characters (and poses, too, preferably) once the show is released.

    2. This is what you get when the majority of a toy company's head chairs are filled by old men our of touch with the current generation of toy consumers. If G5 dies early, it will be because of the merch line as how long a series runs depends on it. Tbh, G4 could have gone on much longer if it wasn't for the eternal "Mane6 but with new cutie pox" releases.

    3. Hasbro doesn't believe in learning lessons unfortunately. :(

    4. I think it’s just cheaper for toy companies to just reuse the same model instead of constantly making new ones at the end of the day they just want to make a profit so mass producing something for cheap and selling it at a higher price is a quick way for them to make money.

    5. I do miss the variety dearly and I agree in that regards but just to respond directly to that anon message here. They can and absolutely do reuse the same model when they make different characters, and always have. Thats why you can search up ponies by what pose they are in and those poses are typically named after the first character who appeared in that pose. It is a little silly to say thats the reason for sticking to a core cast with toys when the franchise was built on reusing the molds with just different colors and stamps on them.

  2. I think a lot of the previous commenters are forgetting that G5 is basically still in its infancy. Tell Your Tale just debuted last month, and now we are waiting on the Make Your Mark special coming in two weeks. We don't even have the full series yet, and after some consideration and thinking about it, we'll probably start seeing way more come next year. Think back to when FiM first came out. It was at least two whole years after the show primered before we started seeing a variety of merch. Give it time everypony and like one wise person once said, the best has yet to come (even though I'm really excited about this set and of course the Mane Melody Playset).

    1. While G4 didn't have a wide variety of merch at the start, each release of the first few years always also features characters beyond the main cast (who are now highly sought-after collector items), which so far seems to be lacking in G5.

    4. The first 3 generations in their infancy weren't plagued with endless repeats. What's G4 and G5's excuses? Laziness.

  5. Dear Hasbro,

Not everybody needs repetition of the same characters over and over again. When you released the first ponies back in 1982 there were only 6 colorful ponies to choose from. Humble beginnings. We get it. However, those days are long gone. If you have the luxury to release the same five ponies multiple times within the same year, then you also have time to design new ponies and release those instead. It is a simple case of choosing different paints. Please stay close to the origins and tradition of our beloved brand.

    Thank you.

  6. About a week ago the Amazon US site changed/ corrected the description to the Crystal Brighthouse set, and that's what was sent to me. It's disappointing, since they still don't have a listing for the Friends of Maretime Bay set.
