It's not common to see a brand new reveal from Europe, especially one that is directly found on Amazon, but it's the case today with this new set called Dragon Light Reveal. Not only do we get a new character, the set introduces a new design too.
Both Blaize and Sunny have brushable hair and articulated legs.
Also interesting to see is the new packaging: this is the first set that we know of that features full Tell Your Tale styling with the flat pony designs and slightly different background colors and patterns. And while Hasbro made a lot of sets with plastic-free packaging, the Dragon Light Reveal set does use plastic again.
The set is listed in most European countries, such as Amazon UK and Amazon DE. Both the pre-order date and copyright date indicate a release in 2024, and we couldn't find it listed in any holiday toy catalogues yet, so no certainty for a pre-Christmas release sadly. Though, we've rarely seen releases with promotional images arrive this early on Amazon before, so we keep all options open for a release late 2023.

Sunny's cutie mark is on her left flank. I've lost track, is that supposed to be correct? And Blaize has a cuite mark on her right side (or maybe on both flanks). Okay, who needs consistency anyway?
ReplyDeleteThis is done so toys in multi sets can face each other nicely in packaging while also making cutie marks showable from the packaging. G4 toys did the same thing with brushables, blind bags, etc. Not necessarily a mistake.

ReplyDeleteIf you took off the ears I think the dragon would look a lot better. I wish they hadn't given it hair. I know its reminiscent of the Pony Friends and Pretty Pals, but hair doesn't belong on every animal.

DeleteI’m actually more bothered by the fact that they have canon bones like ungulates “walking on their toe bones like a horse.” It’s like they’re ponies with some dragon attributes.
DeleteA dragon brushable! A dragon brushable!!! In 2023!! uh 2024 Looove it! Its funny last year I redesigned my ponysona from an earth pony to a "Dracopony" (dragon pony hybrid) and now I'm no customizer but this makes for an incredible base. If they are gonna make the dragons physically similar to ponies might as well make the best of it haha

ReplyDeleteI loved Blaize Skysong, like, another character to add to my g5 collection, hasbro is just realesing diferent kinda mane 6, so I like when there is another character to add to my collection, and finally an alicorn Sunny brushable! I just dont know why Sunny's mane isnt a rainbow mane, its the pink mane that she had before turning into an alicorn, and abt Sparky, Sparky is always the cutest

Plus, this is the first time that they released a 3 inch brushable articulated character
