My Little Pony at the NY Toy Fair 2015 Wrap-up

The NY Toy Fair has ended. Just like last year we managed to see a lot of new wonderful toys that are coming soon. We decided to once again, write a full wrap-up of all we saw during the fair this year. Everything new from Hasbro to other 3th party manufacturers like Funko and Aurora.

Brushables

As expected this years theme will center around the "Cutie Mark Magic" line which celebrates the power of the Cutie Mark.

First up we have the Canterlot Castle Playset that will be available this fall. It's three levels high and comes with an exclusive Princess Celestia figure that has tinsel in her hair similar to the first wave of the Rainbow Power Singles. It will also come with a Spike figure that's the same as the one that came with the Princess Celebration car. The castle has four rooms: The tea room, the bedroom, the library and the bathroom. There's also a small tiara on top of the castle which you can take off and wear on your head, just like Princess Celestia. There will be over 40 accessories included and 7 different Zapcodes for interaction with the Friendship Celebration App are included as well throughout the playset. It also has an elevator which you can take Princess Celestia to the different levels of the castle.
Next up we have the new Rarity's Fashion Boutique Playset that comes with a regular Rarity Brushable. It is a 3-in-1 playset which features different backdrops for each room: her boutique, bedroom and spa. Over 20 accessories will be included. You can store everything in the playset itself and take it everywhere you want to go. 3 Zapcodes will be included as well.
Next up we have the new wave of Playful Pony Singles. The whole mane six will be included + a new character. The ponies show off their Cutie Mark with large ribbons in their hair with their Cutie Mark all over it. They will also come with a small bracelet shaped like their Cutie Mark. Each pony will have one Zapcode.

While it's still unknown who the pink unicorn on the right is, a lot of people have suggested she's the Pink (and probably the main antagonist) of the Season 5 opening. Other people have suggested she's actually Aria Blaze or Ribbon Wishes.

Next up we see the second series of the Water Cuties line. While in the previous wave the body of the ponies was translucent, this time only the wings are. This makes the wings also larger then the regular brushables. Ponies included in this wave are: Rainbow Dash, Blossomforth and Lily Blossom.
Next up we have four brand new Fashion Style Ponies. You can dress them up and do their hair and their outfits are inspired from the FiM Show. Each will have a zapcode as well. The Coco Pommel and Pinkie Pie Fashion Style ponies were already announced a few months ago, but this is the first time we see images of them. Rarity and Rainbow Dash are also new, but have not had an announcement beforehand.
Next up there was also a Fashion Style Pinkie Pie that comes together with an RC Scooter. She will have a zapcode as well. Initially we got info on a Fluttershy RC Scooter, but we're not sure whether she will be released as well or that the included pony with the RC Scooter was changed recently from Fluttershy to Pinkie Pie. We at least did not see any other RC Scooter on display at the NY Toy Fair.
And at last they also showed some stuff we already saw at the Nuremberg Toy Fair like the Glamour Glow Princess Cadance. She was shown together with Rarity, which is already available in various countries.
Like we mentioned earlier, there will also be a new app called "Friendship Celebrations App". With this app you can scan the codes that are on the ponies or playsets and this way and then you unlock "a whole new experience" that centers around the celebration of Friendship. The woman at the booth talked about Birthday and Tea Parties as an example. Sounds interesting!

Hasbro POP

And just like last year Hasbro displayed the new POP Ponies as well. There aren't actually that many new ones shown this year. For fall the second series of the Wing Kits will be released. This wave contains Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash each with a metallic body. They will also come with a variety of wings.
For fall we will also get 2 new 5 Inch Ponies: Princess Cadance and Princess Luna. Both will come with 2 tails, 2 manes and wings. Both will be covered in a black layer and with a special tool you can scratch away the black and reveal the color underneath. Like this you can create some amazing designs I believe!

Ponyville Friendship is Magic Collection

One of the main highlights I believe is the Ponyville Friendship is Magic Collection that will be launched as well. It's not only about collecting now anymore, but also about storytelling. You can bring your favourite stories and moments from the show to life. This series is all about the Sweet Apple Acres and the Apple Family.

Equestria Girls

And just like last year the Equestria Girls showed up as well. This time their exhibit was all in the theme of the brand new movie coming this fall: "Friendship Games" according to the woman at the booth Canterlot High never won the Friendship Games Trophy because their rival school named "Crystal Prep Academy" always won the trophy.
At first we have the Sporty Style Deluxe Dolls which come in two assortment: The Wondercolts and the Shadowbolts. Each team consist of 6 characters each with 3 different sport themes. Every team consist of 2 archers, 2 bikers and 2 rollerskaters. As the name suggest these are deluxe dolls which means they have additional articulation at the knees and elbows. The characters in this line are:

Funko

What is Funko Hikari ?
Hikari, meaning ‘light’, is a highly collectible line of clear Sofubi Vinyl Figures.
These will be ultra-limited and piece runs will range from 500pcs-5000pcs depending on the treatment. Each Hikari piece will include a hand numbered card to prove authenticity and rarity.

My Pillow Pets

We're also going to get some new My Little Pony Plush! It seems like a company called My Pillow Pets is going to make licensed Pillow Plush of Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. These plushies can be stuffed with a pillow so you can have your own pillow pony to play with or to just cuddle.

Another thing they have revealed at the Toy Fair are Dream Lites plush which work the same way as the Funrise Twinkle Star Light plush as they project stars on the ceiling.
