My Little Pony Equestria Girls Fashion Squad Figures
About two weeks ago Entertainment Earth has listed a lot of new items including new Equestria Girls Ones called: Fashion Squad. What's interesting is that they are a brand new kind of Equestria Girls Figures. When you take a quick look they might look like normal Equestria Girls Minis, but they actually got quite a make-over! First of all they are quite smaller than the ones we know standing about 3 inches tall. They also look much more different in terms of sculpt and their articulation has also been altered as they can no longer move their knees or elbows. They are still very expressive though and I quite like their new look. What about you?

Two kind of releases have been found for these. The first kind of release are Single Figures. Each figure comes with a shirt or jacket, skirt or pants, a pair of shoes and an accessory. They will be around $4.99 USD Each. Characters in this assortment are Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.
Entertainment Earth Description:
Dress up your pony pal in fashions that she loves! In a 3-inch size, each My Little Pony Equestria Girls Fashion Squad Mini Doll comes with 2 outfit pieces recognizable to her character, a pair of shoes, and a tablet accessory to dress her up in her signature style. With 5 points of articulation for poseable fun. Collect them all! Case includes 6 individually packaged mini-dolls.

The second kind of release are the "Best Friends" set containing two figures and over 40 accessories to dress them up which is quite a lot! One set will be about $19.99 USD and there are two sets: Pinkie Pie and Rarity and a set with Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer.
Entertainment Earth Description:
Getting ready with a best friend means double the fashions to swap and style! Each My Little Pony Equestria Girls Fashion Squad pack includes two 3-inch mini dolls and over 40 outfit pieces to imagine besties hanging out and sharing their unique styles with each other. Each doll has, molded hair and 5 points of articulation for poseable fun. Set includes 2 individually packaged sets.

BUT there's more as these sets have already been found at Toys'R'Us Singapore! And the Best Friends is also listed already on the Toys'R'Us Singapore Website. As you might have noticed Fluttershy is missing from this line at the point but I bet she'll make an appearance anytime soon. Thanks a lot to Adrian for the heads up and photo's!

  1. Seems like they tried to make the faces similar to the current actual dolls...

  4. Oh dear...I really don’t like these....the original minis had a charm that wasn’t really found in any other competing doll lines or even other MLP lines tbh, but these just feel like those stupid LOL dolls now. Yikes. I think I’ll just take a Sunset for my collection and move on.

  5. I'm conflicted. I'm not prepared to collect another series but all those clothing options seem so fun. They could totally do this with the existing minis, as shown with the switch-n-mix sets. I suppose these new figures are much more durable due to the limited articulation, which is probably a big complaint for the minis. But I hope they still continue the minis!

  6. The concept is neat actually (i always wanted to change clothes on reular Eg minis wothout the need of replace heads) but they look just awful, at first look i thought they where bootlegs, the clothing looks kind of cheap (Don't blame them, the size can't help whit it) and that horrible molded lips on the face looks horrible, it looks nothing like a chibi-esque doll, most of the accesories looks recicled
I supose it was because nowadays the tiny mistery toys like L.O.L, shopkins or Polly pocket (in it's years of glory) are the most trending toys, i saw that they were testing this tradeablle clothes thing since that sets of twilight and rarity released a time ago, they could have go with that idea and just do it without making a new line, but these ones where way too expensive, i supose it's cheaper to produce
Sadly this is the future of EqG before G4 ends

  7. I don't like them.
There is no charm along with them.
Just do 5 inches with that kind of functions, not freaking 3 with copying entire Reboot Series face.

  8. This kinda pisses me off. The whole reason that I bought/buy the Minis is because they're uniquely cute and are quality figures for their price range. With these new figures, they strip functionality and dynamism out, they look "bootleg" as another comment mentioned and the aesthetic charm that lured me in with the minis is lost. Where you can see 'soul' in the eyes and expressions of the minis, these look dead-eyed and glassy, throwing back to the horrendously failed "Barbie" like aesthetic making them very uncomfortable to look at. I'm not sure what Hasbro's obsession with that model is. Perhaps it's some deep seated contempt towards their competitor Mattel that they can't see past.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Hasbro makes yet another bad decision in their own market. It seems that they just can't help themselves. I'm interested to see where this new line will go, but I can certainly say I won't be buying them anytime soon. Time to cancel my EE pre-order. I've been duped.

  9. I guess I'm the only one who doesn't hate these. The Pinkie and Twilight ones are cute, the Rainbow Dash and Applejack ones are okay, and the twopacks seem decent as well. I'll probably pick these up once they hit the states.

    1. Don't worry, There will always be people who do not like anything and complains about everything, I get tired of paying attention to them for now!

And, about the dolls, They are super cute, and I love the return of being able to change them all the outfit!!!!, so I only have one more thing to say:
I want to get them RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

    2. The Twilight and Pinkie ones are adorable (especially Twilight, but I'm admittedly a Sci-Twi fanatic) and the more I look at the other ones, I think they look even more screen accurate than the minis, and those are pretty accurate! I really would love to add these to my collection and am thinking I will definitely buy them once I see them in stores or online (NOT from scalpers or third party sellers of course!)

  10. A little weird, because of the clothes and the size of the head, at least, they are better, compared to those giant dolls, with real hair.

I have seen, dolls with glassy and lifeless eyes, "including old dolls of the 60s, 70s and 80s", these eqg are not close to that description.

  11. They are not bad tbh, but I admit some of them look strange...the best are Rarity and Pinkie.

  12. I think I'd rather have the regular EG Minis, thank you.

  13. Our daughter is absolutely thrilled with these dolls! I wasnt sure if they'd end up in the "played with once after opening pile", but they did not, and my daughter absolutely loves playing with them. The fact that they have so many outfitsand can be changed, is great! The dolls themselves are very cute, just adorable, and seem to be good quality. In my opinion, they look much more like the tv/movie characters, than the other equestria dolls with hair. The only complaint we have: Where is Fluttershy?!?!?! We have all of them except for Fluttershy. I have literally looked everywhere and cannot find the "fashion squad" Fluttershy. There are other options for Fluttershy Equestria girl, but they don't have changeable clothing, and they are larger than these fashion squad dolls(these fashion squad dolls are 3 inches and the smallest Fluttershy available is 4.5 inches). Where is Fluttershy? Can anyone tell me where I can buy Fashion Squad Fluttershy, or when it will be released if it hasn't been released yet? I found a link to Singapore Toys r us, that shows Fluttershy in the listings photo, but it says the doll is chosen at random! If you have any information as to when or where I can getthe Fashion Squad Fluttershy to complete our Fashion Squad collection, please do share. Thanks, Jade,Just a Mom trying to complete our daughters fashion squad equestria collection!

    1. Patience. If you are in the US, Hasbro normally release these things in other countries first and then in the US a few months later. The New York Toy Fair is a few days away so we'll know more about Hasbro's lineup soon enough.
