We know Mighty Jaxx from their line of Hidden Dissectibles and related XXRay statues, both featuring ponies that partly show their internals. But now Mighty Jaxx is making a complete 180 and is coming with an incredibly cute series: "Kwistal Fwenz".
Yes, no skeletons this time, but instead cute chibi-like ponies with crystal manes and tails. This first series, that will release on October 27th, features the complete mane 6 from G4 as well as a super secret Twilight Sparkle variant with a 1/24 ratio. All ponies, including the chase Twilight, have an accessory related to each pony.
The 4" tall ponies come in blind boxes, so it's always a surprise who you will get. Just like the Hidden Dissectibles we expect to see both single boxes and full trays. At the moment we only have a detailed image of the Applejack figure, but hope to share more detailed photos soon. We don't know exactly when the listings will be up (assumed just before the 27th), but we'll let you know once we hear more. Hasbro should just release unicorn twilight molds along with every series they run, the people who want to support unicorn twilight will be able to do so and the collectors will likely buy both anyway, literally no reason not to do this
ReplyDeleteDamn, those look nice! I've always wanted non-x-ray versions of the dissectibles, and while this isn't that, I'm down for chibis too. Sadly, much like the Natural Series, I doubt I'll be able to afford to import them... Still, just knowing something cute exists in this world is nice in itself.
ReplyDeleteOh, also, I don't know if you already realised this, but that "Chase Twilight" is Celestia; even the box illustration has her cutie mark behind the silhouette.
