Cutie Mark Crew Series 5, Two Different Kinds of Releases?

Today I stumbled upon something very interesting on Taobao. It has been pretty quiet when it comes to the Cutie Mark Crew Line. Especially with the G4.5 Potion Blind Bags being released in stores now as we speak. We know that Hasbro had already revealed the sixth Series of Cutie Mark Crew Figures several months ago. But only fourth sets had been released so far worldwide with no word of a release of the fifth series. Turns out that the fifth series has been released in Russia. (Thanks to Aljona and Tomo for the heads up!) This series was released in the confetti balloon packaging just as listed on the Ukrainian Website.

But today I stumbled upon an interesting listing on Taobao which also lists Series 5. BUT with the capsule packaging like Series 1 and 2. Now this is very interesting to me especially since the fifth series is already being released with the balloon packaging. In terms of figures included it's all the same in terms of characters included and accessories. Now there can be various reasons for this:

They switched back to the capsules after negative feedback about the balloon packaging
They still had the mold available and making capsules is actually cheaper.
The capsules are better for the environment (less waste)
Different releases per region, Eastern Europe gets balloons, Asia gets the capsules.
The Taobao listing is fake. Which seems VERY unlikely seeing as the seller sells only official MLP products and the stock photo's etc are all the same as the ones from Hasbro. Still it's a possibility.

Keep in mind that the points posted above are our own opinions and speculations. No clear reason is known at this point. In terms of release I have no idea if the fifth series will still be released worldwide or only in specific countries seeing as we're in G4.5 now. Maybe Hasbro will reveal some more info during this New York Toy Fair if they're not gonna focus completely on Pony Life! If you spot these in-stores yourself please let us know!
