Hasbro Shows Cutie Mark Crew Series 6 Figures
Hasbro is on a roll with Cutie Mark Crew announcements and releases this month! After the listing for series 5 blind packs and two multi-packs we're already seeing official information and photos on the 6th series of blind packs on the My Little Pony website. This brand new series will feature similar gradient finishes as the 5th series and all ponies come with fashion-themed accessories like skirts, shoes, hats and pearl necklaces.
No details on the in-store release has been given so far, but seeing as this info is already up on Hasbro's own sites, we expect this set to be available not too far in the 3rd quarter of this year. Possible only weeks after the first findings of the 5th series.

My LIttle Pony Cutie Mark Crew Series 5 - Makeup ThemedMy LIttle Pony Cutie Mark Crew Series 5 - Makeup Themed
While the series 4 Cutie Mark Crew have started to become available on most continents now, over on a Ukrainian website the first images of the 5th series has been spotted! As we saw on the NY Toy Fair the base idea will remain the same as the current line we saw with series 3 and 4, namely the confetti-filled balloons with a single pony and accessory inside. This time around the ponies have a gradient design, and come with makeup/beauty-themed items. Overall we get to see a lot more mane 6 variants, but some other characters make a return in this set and we get the first release of Sweetie Belle and Zecora (in a rainbowfied form?). The accessories for the ponies are all duplicated once in a different color.

Kotobukiya News: Rarity Prototype and Fluttershy Pre-OrdersKotobukiya News: Rarity Prototype and Fluttershy Pre-Orders
We've got two great reports from Kotobukiya for you today: Both the prototype of the Rarity bishoujo statue and the final colored design of the Fluttershy statue (including pre-orders) too! News on the figures came in through Twitter and their official blog, and is just in time for the start of the SDCC today.

This is the first time we get to see a prototype version of the Rarity bishoujo statue, currently still in its unpainted state. The human statue has a very posh pose and outfit, combined with curly locks similar to her pony-equivalent and a seductive face. Rarity as a pony lays on the floor and comes with a greatly detailed mane and even sculpted eyelashes.

Of Fluttershy, who is the 3rd statue in the series, we now get to see the final colored design of her showing the bright hair color and contrasting details on her dress. Pony Fluttershy got some beautiful shaded wings, combined with show-accurate colors and details. The Fluttershy statue is now available for pre-order too, and has an expected release date of December 2019.

Hasbro Announces My Little Pony Retro Rainbow Mane 6
After the My Little Pony 35th Anniversary celebration from last year, Hasbro goes back in time again and announces a brand new set of retro ponies based on the modern mane 6!
The main cast from Friendship is Magic is shaped after ponies from older generation, though with a little twist. Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash are molded after the classic G1 Firefly pose and Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Applejack are a mixture of G1 and G3 styles. Color-wise the ponies have not changed, but the cutie marks did: they increased in number and size, looking more like the G1 symbols than their current cutie marks.
All ponies come in a single box that is covered with retro-vibes, and even the logo from the first generation! We also received some crazy hi-res images of this set, of which we shared a little compilation below to show you the quality of detail of the figures and packaging.

The My Little Pony Retro Rainbow Mane 6 collection will be an Amazon exclusive and release on the first of September. Pre-orders are available for $24.99.

Together with this new set comes the premiere of My Little Pony: The Retro Show, a free weekly show where Hasbro looks back on the history of My Little Pony from the 80's and 90's.

And if you still have more thirst for retro My Little Pony, why not take a look at our own book My Little Pony Collectibles, where we take a look at the rich history of MLP throughout the generations!

Finally Official: Stranger Things x My Little Pony Applejack
Today is the start of the new Stranger Things season, and for this season Netflix has partnered up with Hasbro and Basic Fun to release this very special Stranger Things-themed Applejack. She is not looking like her regular self and comes with a white and blue color scheme, which includes her mane, tail and symbol/cutie mark. The latter of which is intentionally printed upside-down.
She comes in a monochrome box and is always packed wrong side up. On the back we see the usual style of the 35th Anniversary ponies, though it only showing Applejack. Within the box you not only get the pony, but a bow and hairbrush are included too. Everything in matching blue.
This special Applejack is currently only available in-store at Target, where you can pick her up for $9.99. Note that a handful of ponies are also available from 3rd part sellers on Amazon, though with a higher price tag.

Majesty was released in the second year of the first generation of My Little Pony and came with the Dream Castle Playset.
However as you might have noticed this version looks a whole lot different as both the pony itself and the box are completely covered with her symbol.

Rainbow Road Trip Collection Blind Bag Set Found Online
Over on the Chinese online marketplace Taobao, and associated sites, a new "blind bag" collection set has been spotted: the Rainbow Road Trip Collection. This set is, as the name already reveals, part of the Rainbow Road Trip series and features the complete mane 6, the 3 princesses and Gummy!

While the figures are presented in their usual body style, the variants these come in are, almost, all new. The mini figures have a colored translucent body with large glitter flakes and painted manes and tails. Princess Twilight Sparkle comes with a pretty unique rainbow-colored wing finish too.
In addition to the ponies, we also get the first translucent Gummy, which shares his body mold with that of an earlier FiM Collection release.

Seeing as the collection is published on the marketplace including the full packaging we can assume that it won't take long before we're seeing these in stores. Price-wise the listings all translate to about $35, which seems logical for these sets as they're usually offered around the $30 mark at release.
