Know Idea & Sega Toys Announce Acrylic Character Stands in Japan

There has been quite a unique announcement in Japan this week on JapanPonyCon by Know Idea, who we never heard of before. With their distribution partner Sega Toys (who are licensed by Hasbro) they're planning on releasing three Equestria Girls Friends Forever acrylic character stands, based on the original concept artwork of Rita Lux.

If the artworks looks familiar, you're absolutely right, simailar concept drawings have been used on the packaging of the Equestria Girls reboot series, as well as some Fashion Squad figures.

Images of 2019 My Little Pony & Equestria Girls Sets Found
We already wrote about several new sets that were announced on Entertainment Earth and we're happy to write that most of these sets are now accompanied by stock photos! Not on EE, but on detmir.ru, who listed the Equestria Girls and Brushables this week. Below we have a combination of the original English descriptions and the new stock photos, showing that most of our expectations match pretty good. Sadly we're still missing the photos of the Pinkie Pie Equestria Girl and pony, so we're still hoping to find these soon.
We also added them to our Brushables, Equestria Girls Reboot and Equestria Girls Fashion Squad databases, so you can now start to add them to your wishlist for 2019! For easy access we linked each database page with the listings below.
Thanks to Tomo for the info!

Store Finds: Lots of Random Merch and Discounted Sets
We were quiet busy with the new all-generation databases, and are preparing for the release of our book later this month, but that doesn't mean there's no store finds to be shared! This episode we don't have a real scoop to share, but we did see some new random merch from the US and UK, as well as various discounted items that you might want to check out.
If you happen to find brand new stuff in your local store, then feel free to write us a small message with photos.

My Little Pony at the 2018 SDCC
Today we have a special guest report from Anto, who was kind enough to shoot photos at this year's San Diego Comic Con of everything My Little Pony that was on display across the convention floor.
Hasbro had a relatively large booth this year with lots of items that are going to be release this year, including Cutie Mark Crew, Ultimate Equestria Collection and Best Gift Ever sets.
And of course we get to take a peek at an actual prototype of the Pinkie Pie Bishoujo statue can be seen.

Equestria Girls Friendship Party Pack Now Available!
Good news for Equestria Girls fans today! The Friendship Pack that was first seen at this year's New York Toy Fair, is listed and available on Amazon.com! And it's not just a placeholder listing, as the official stock images of the set and packaging are also added to the listing. This is the first time we hear about this set since the initial announcement at the toy fair, so let's dive into some of the details:

The Friendship Party Pack is a huge box with 7 Equestria Girls dolls, consisting of the Mane 6 and Sunset Shimmer. Each doll has 5 points of articulation (being the arms, legs and head) and comes with a colorful party dress and shoes or boots to finish the outfit. Also included are a belt for Rarity and a bow & pair of glasses for Twilight Sparkle.

On Amazon this set is directly available and in stock for $69.99.

Store Finds: Equestria Girls & Pirate Ponies at Walmart
A bit of an odd store finds post this time, as all stuff that we cover in this post aren't actually new. Why cover them in a store finds post anyway? Well, Walmart got a huge restock of items that were either hardly available, of only in select stores. Perhaps some of this is old news, but if you're missing some of these figures it could just be the update you need.
If you happen to find brand new stuff in your local store, then feel free to write us a small message with photos.

MLP Merch Poll #177MLP Merch Poll #176 Results
Last week we asked you about your thoughts about the painted on clothing for brushables, something that will play a big role in the upcoming School of Friendship sets. The general consensus is clear: clothing that is painted on instead of plastic/fabric accessories does not have the favor of many collectors. The largest group, 39%, will avoid these kind of figures, and another 27% does not like the idea, but will get them anyway to keep their collection complete. An equally large group of 27% does not mind whether the figure has painted on clothing or not, and only 6% of the respondents prefers these over ponies without any clothing.
