My Little Pony 1oz Silver Coin by New Zealand Mint

This morning I stumbled upon quite an interesting piece of upcoming Merchandise, especially those who are fan of the first generation of MLP: New Zealand Mint who is known to release silver coins themed after famous IP's such as Lord of the Rings, Disney etc. has now listed a My Little Pony one!

The coin is made of 1oz of pure silver and features the original six ponies (Blossom, Blue belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty and Snuzzle) in full-color together with the logo and sun. The other side of the coin features a Niue two dollar design together with a portrait of the recently passed Elizabeth II as well as the year 2022. The coin comes protected in a transparant case and is boxed in a high quality packaging featuring Starshine.

A few months ago Loungefly teased an upcoming G1 Retro collab. The only thing we saw at that time was a very nicely looking Starshine backpack. Entertainment Earth has now listed this backpack alongside a matching Starshine Zip-around wallet on their website.

Store Finds: The G4 Backlog + First G5 Merch

It's been a while since we wrote a store finds post, and to be honest, the amount of finds have been low in the past months. Still, we've build up a backlog of G4 merch and want to share the first G5 in-store release too!
If you happen to find brand new stuff in your local store, then feel free to write us a small message with photos.

My Little Pony Icon Heroes Applejack and Minty Retro G1 Enamel Pins
Good news for those who like Enamel Pins! Entertainment Earth has listed two different kinds of pins. The first ones being from Icon Heroes which will release two sets of two Retro G1 pins, the first set consisting of Applejack and Minty and the second set of Firefly and Windy.

Aside from that Entertainment Earth has also listed the Pinfinity Augmented Reality Pins which we made a detailed blogpost about a few months ago. If you want to learn more about these I would recommend reading that post too since it has some nice information about how the pins work.

My Little Pony Retro G1 Funko Pop Ponies
About two months ago a leak has appeared telling us that possible G1 Funko Pop Figures were on the way, this has now been confirmed as the first images have appeared. The images are actually from a video made by Funko Themselves (My Little Pony Part Starts at 14:10, you can find the video below)

The ponies themselves which are: Cotton Candy, Minty, Blue Belle, Blossom, Butterscotch and Snuzzle,  are molded after the classic collector pose in combination with elements of Funko Pop's such as the more chibi-like appearance and the black, round eyes. What's also nice is to see that Blue Belle is also present now as she was missing from the leak.

My Little Pony Lite Brite and Twister Retro Ponies at Toys'R'us Canada
A few months ago stock images were revealed of Peggy Mane and Right Hoof Red. Also known as the Lite Brite and Twister Ponies. It has been a while we've heard anything about these two, but it turns out they have been found in stores! These two have been found at Toys'R'Us Canada for $16.99 CAD each. It's interesting to note that the price tag mentions "Retro Mash-Up Assortment". Makes me wonder if we'll see more retro crossovers aside from these and the Crossover Collection...

A Greek toystore named Toys-Shop has listed something interesting. The website has listed single versions of the Retro Rainbow Mane 6 set that was released last year. The figures appear to be the same as their multipack releases. However as for now we were only able to find listing for Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. It's unclear if Fluttershy and Rarity will also be released. (Though it seems a bit strange if they don't)
