It's time to reveal the big project we've been working on in the past few months! Followers of our Twitter may have already seen the sneak peak we posted, but now it's official: We're launching a multi-brand toy and doll database called The Toy Pool!

We've been a bit quiet lately, and that's not without reason. Aside from us moving houses and still unpacking stuff we also worked hard on the most requested databases: we introduce LOL-Dolls.com as the latest website to our family featuring all there is to know about L.O.L. Surprise dolls!

It's Prime Day! Amazon's annual sale, just for Prime members, is back with two days of deals across all categories. We already scouted the toys section for My Little Pony deals and found some deals worth mentioning, including G5 sets!

As promised in the release post we would do a review on the latest Pop Mart x My Little Pony series, Leisure Afternoon, and here it is! We'll keep it a bit shorter than our Natural Series review, as the ordering process differed hugely this time, and some aspects are the same as before.

In need of some My Little Pony gift ideas for this year's holidays, but haven't found the perfect gift yet? After the release of My Little Pony: A New Generation on Netflix there is so much to choose from, but we're happy to help! At MLP Merch we've been following the release of new pony figures, toys and merchandise since 2014, and have compiled a new gift guide for the 2021 holidays.

We aim to make a guide with gifts for everyone: from budget-friendly ponies to flagship releases, and gifts for small kids to adult collectors. We also try our best to include listings that ship international from Amazon, so anyone is able to order. This guide is not sponsored, but does include affiliate links to help us maintain the site.

A couple of weeks ago we got messages about an eBay listing for a box of Chinese My Little Pony trading cards (thanks Jade!). We've seen them before, but only briefly based on promotional images. It seems that they became available for purchase recently, and the eBay listing was the first (and only?) one online. While the eBay listing was still online (and ended quite high), but we decided to buy them directly from China on AliExpress, which turned out to be much cheaper anyway.
Update: At the bottom of this review we've added images of exclusive cards that are not available in the retail packs we bought.

Hopefully everyone has enjoyed their viewing of the My Little Pony: A New Generation! In the mean time we have been busy with finishing 3 large database updates this week, and are happy to be able to share those with you all.

A couple of weeks ago we were happy to report that My Little Pony G5 glass ornaments from our own country were announced and coming this September. Aside from information, we are happy to report that we also got review ornaments from Vondels, which we can finally show to you.

Over the past 2 years we've received several requests for more information about the 25th wave of My Little Pony G4 blind bags we originally reported on in March of 2019. Today we finally have a bit more info to report on these, and have sufficient images to finally fill the database.

Alright time for a short blog outside of what we normally post. This isn't about official MLP releases, nor is it about fakes, but sort of something in between?
It didn't catch our attention, but last year Hasbro released a new version of Monopoly Junior: Unicorn Edition. While that is normally something that won't be featured on our blog anyway, but there's an interesting twist when looking at the included figures. Yes, those are re-used G4.5 blind bag figures!

Aside from all the G5 news, one of our most popular posts from the past months has to be the Pop Mart MLP Natural Series reveal. Personally we were really curious to take a closer look at these new blind boxes from China, from a brand we weren't familiar with. That's why we decided to order some and create a review!

We have a brand new feature in our database that makes it much easier to send in your photos! The good-old 'Image Missing' placeholder has now been replaced with a button and clicking it opens a short form where you can directly upload photos of your pony. Better yet, if you're on a mobile device you can directly take a photo from there. Aside from picking a photo, you can include your name so that we directly know who to credit for the donated picture.

If you want to help out and send in photos of your ponies to fill up the gaps in the database, be sure to check our handy guide. This will teach you how to make the perfect photo and gives you some examples on the do's and don'ts. And if you want to check our which ponies we're missing images of, you can visit our new submit page where they're all listed.

My Little Pony is making the jump to the 5th generation this year. The new generation will start with a Netflix-exclusive movie and series, as well as a new web-series on YouTube. Along with the new style of animation and characters come a brand new line of figures from Hasbro as well.

In the past few days we've seen and heard of several people trying to identify the pony inside of the Secret Rings blind bags by the 5-digit code that is printed on the packaging. Sadly, this code does not identify the pony inside. Nor did we find any other codes on the packaging that help with that.

It's Black Friday again, which means deals in every category imaginable. My Little Pony is no exception, so if you're still looking for certain figures or merch, this is the time to hunt for price drops.
